Strong and beautiful- this image draws you in and keeps you there for a while.
My process involves whipping up and throwing down layer after layer of paint while pulling and pushing shapes in and out of the canvas. In between, I scatter little gestural and spontaneous marks using oil pastels and archival markers. Over and over again I step back, look, and come back to deepen or lighten, massage or even wrestle with the image to get to a place of balance.
